Projects

Over the last 22 years IoJ has brought many projects to successful completion. A review of these projects will give one an inkling of the magnitude of the awareness of Jainism created through them in such a short period. A brief list of the major projects is given below. These projects have been described in detail elsewhere on the site.

The primary objective of establishing IoJ was to create an awareness of the Jain faith, its vastness and the depth of its rich philosophy, its literature and art. In the Western world , apart from a limited number of academics, Jain faith had not been heard of – and those who had, were generally ill informed.

IoJ’s success in achieving its primary objective can be attributed to its policy to keep both the local, national and the international Jain communities together in all its endeavours and kept everyone fully informed and involved.
