Introduction
Sydney Jain Mandal (SJM) has undertaken a project to build Jain Education Centre/Jinalay in Sydney, Australia. The centre will be focal point of promoting Jain principles and provide a social platform for people following Jain principles.

SJM will be responsible for building and managing the centre with support from Jain families in Sydney and other parts of Australia.
Sydney Jain Mandal(SJM) is a non-profit social-religious organisation that represents Jain community in Sydney. SJM provides a social platform for all the people who believe in the principle of Jain religion. SJM was established to raise the awareness of Jain religion among the younger generation of Jain families living in Sydney & Australia.
SJM has been celebrating Mahavir Jayanti, Mahavir Nirwan, Dashlakshan, visits by scholars from India and many other social activities since 1991 in Sydney. SJM conducts regular monthly bhajan program where many families participate in a joint bhajan program as well as discussion about Jain religion.
Purpose of Education Centre/Jinalay
Sydney Jain Mandal has embarked on a long standing dream to build a Jain education centre and Jinalay in Sydney. The centre will be a hub for teaching Jain principles as well as a source of inspiration, spiritual strength and to identify oneself for generations to come. The centre will conduct regular discussions, classes on Jain principles. There will be practical classes organised on how to conduct Jain pooja. The centre will also organise meditation and Yoga classes.
Current Status of Project
SJM has been looking for a viable project given the limited resources and has shortlisted a site for building the initial Education Centre. SJM plans to purchase the center site in Oct, 2013. Soon after Jain idols will be brought in from India and installed with Pratishtha in the education centre. Work has been started to formulate the curriculum for education classes. With support from Jains all over the world, SJM plans to organise Pratistha program and formal opening of Education centre/Jinalay as soon as practicable.
Support Required
SJM needs support, financial and administrative, to build the Jinalay/Education centre and running it. We require immediate financial support to purchase the centre. We need support from all to be able to build the Jain centre in Sydney.
