Institute of Jainology and Zoroastrian Community hosted a joint husting on November 20, 2019 at Zoroastrian Centre in Harrow. The event was attended by prospective parliamentary candidates for Harrow East, Harrow West, Ruislip, Pinner and Northwood from Labour and Conservatives Parties and approximately 100 Jain & Zoroastrian community members. Bob Blackman (Conservative) & Pamela Fitzpatrick (Labour) from Harrow East, Gareth Thomas (Labour) & Anwara Ali (Conservative) from Harrow West and Peymana Assad (Labour) from Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner constituency participated in an engaging debate which lasted over 2 hours. A number of issues including Brexit, immigration, Local hospitals, NHS, healthcare, schools, pensions and employment etc were intensely discussed. The panel was moderated by Dr Mehool Sanghrajka, MBE.
The event marked the launch of the OneJAIN 2019 Election Manifesto which was signed by both sitting MPs for Harrow East and West on behalf of their respective parties. The manifesto can be downloaded here.
