The terrorist attack in London yesterday, June 3rd, was the third this year in the UK. This follows recent attacks in Manchester and at Westminster Bridge.
Yesterday, terrorists killed 7 people, and a further 48 were seriously injured. We pray for their souls, and for their family and friends. We also pray that those injured will make a full recovery.
The emergency services have, again, performed magnificently and we are grateful that these brave men and women who do so much for our safety and wellbeing.
As a community, we condemn such violence and believe that the killing and wounding of people in this way serves no purpose. The UK is a diverse and tolerant country, and we all must redouble our efforts to ensure that all communities live in compassion and harmony.
The Jain community will play its part in this and encourage others to do so.
